Frequently Asked Questions
What is Paid Market Research?
Paid market research can take many forms from being invited to take part in a discussion group or interview to being asked to join an online study where you will be asked to log in and answer questions at certain times over a certain period.
Our research studies regularly pay between £40 - £200 per study. The money varies dependent on what you are asked to take part in and how long the study lasts for.
We invite people to take part in these studies to help inform our clients on anything from the launch of a new product to the testing of advertising.
Do I have to be a member to participate?
Yes. By applying for your first research study you are joining up to be part of the FOLK community. Those who join the community will be sent emails when we have studies they can apply to take part in.
You are of course able to leave the community at any time. To do this please contact the community manager via email Folk@Fieldsauce.com. The community manager will respond within 72 hours to confirm your information has been removed from our system in accordance with GDPR and UK privacy laws.
Information about the application process for each study
When you apply to take part in a study with us, we ask you to answer some questions for us that are specific to that study. This normally takes between 5 and 15 mins. If successful within 1-5 days someone from the Field Sauce Team will be in touch to talk about the next steps which are generally different for each project.
What happens if I am selected for a study?
Once selected for a study someone from the Field Sauce Team will be in touch to let you know your application has been successful and to confirm all of the research details with you. For each study these vary but we will confirm the date and time of the research, where and how it will take place, the incentive, how you will be paid and when, along with information about any pre- or post-tasks you may need to complete. You will be emailed a copy of all of these details for your reference.
How often will I be invited to participate?
This will depend on the projects we have running at one particular time. We look for certain individuals for each study who must fit a certain criteria. If you have applied for a study, and fit the criteria, you will most likely be contacted to take part. The more surveys you complete the more opportunities you have to be invited to take part.
How will I be paid?
You will be paid up to 7 working days after the completion of the study. Every study offers a different incentive type and this is outlined before you apply for each study. Payment types include PayPal, Amazon / high street vouchers or by BACS payment.
Why wasn't I selected for a study I applied for?
For each study we run our client provides very specific criteria respondents must meet, and every study is unique. If you did not get chosen this time round do not feel disheartened, this is most likely due to the fact you simply do not fit this criteria! This can be to do with your location, lifestyle, age, etc. Some you may fit perfectly for whilst others you may not qualify but we use our surveys to try and find those people by specifying the audience we are trying to reach.
Why do you ask lots of personal questions?
We will only ever ask you questions in relation to the study and will never gather unnecessary information about you. To become a member, you may be asked more personal questions so that we can validate your identity to ensure you are eligible for market research. This information also allows us to send the correct type of research to you.
Where does the information I provide you go?
FOLK and Field Sauce keep your personal information in strict accordance with the data protection act and GDPR, meaning your data is secure and will never be shared with third parties without you signing a consent form before every study you may take part in.
